Why Am I Writing Again?

Why Am I Writing Again?

Lately, I’ve felt the urge to write more. I’m not entirely sure if I’m doing it just for myself or for others, but maybe that doesn’t really matter. As long as it feels good, helps me to structure my thoughts and there’s a chance it might bring value to someone else, it’s worth doing.

I used to write more often. Back when blogs were all the rage, around 2008, if I remember correctly, I was much more active. Later, Twitter became my go-to platform, until its new owner essentially set it on fire and burnt it down. Now, I’ve come full circle.

Writing for others is a wonderful thing. But there are also solid, self-serving reasons to write. Sometimes, gaps in my own knowledge become glaringly obvious as I try to articulate my thoughts. Writing forces me to address those gaps, making my ideas clearer and my text more cohesive. Another reason is self-promotion. Writing allows me to showcase expertise in a topic, or at least demonstrate that I’m actively learning and growing in that area.

So here I am, writing again. Let’s see where it takes me.
